Born in Tahiti, Maeva uses photography to capture and preserve the culture and heritage of her Polynesian Island. She has found in Nigeria a reflection of her own roots, enabling her to use her eyes and lenses to witness the daily life inspired by Africa.
She is aware of what photography owes to painting this aesthetic and its process which is for her more important than technique.
Her first exhibition was at Bogobiri, Ikoyi over the weekend and we were there to see art in its true form!
