So we have been unsure which of these two women represent Africa best in their songs: lyrics, sound and style. Now, it couldn’t be clearer. We’ll let you decide after watching these videos. In Omawumi’s usual style, her pidgin and attitude flowed through the song from top to bottom, sweetly joing with the rhythm of the accompanying sound. She is joined by Africa’s sweetheart, Angelique Kidjo with her legendary vocals. In the other video, Tiwa dazzles in beautiful African outfits and make-up with her vocals grossly underused again in another Donjazzy-influenced song. She is joined by African girls who don’t do any justice to her action call “Show me your waist” because we see no waist in this song praising the African waist and curves.
