The former O.A.P on The Beat 99.9 FM, Fade Ogunro is a self proclaimed “Mediapreneur” who has managed to transform her social media presence from the regular to an enviable platform where she encourages entrepreneurship and creativity in African’s youth. She is the brain behind some of Africa’s most notable TV Commercials and music videos and the controversial Koko Concert.
Before starting her illustrious media career in Nigeria as a freelance journalist for PM News, 234 Next and Guardian newspapers, Fade studied Journalism and Creative writing at the Roehampton University, Uk where she also worked as a freelance journalist for some of London’s most popular publications with an example being Vogue. In 2011 she left print media to explore other facets of media, successfully imprinting her name in the broadcasting sector as a TV and Radio presenter as well as a TV producer for Film Factory Nigeria. She is popularly affiliated to Beat FM where she hosted the Liquid Lounge on Saturdays and the Sunday Request Show up until this year.
Fade has produced TV commercials for big names like Airtel, ARM Life Insurance, First Bank, McDowells Whisky, Nokia and General electrics. She has also produced music videos for some of Africa’s biggest artists including D’banj, Wizkid, Sarkodie, Iyanya and Ice Prince.
She has recently been listed as one of the Top 10 most interesting celebrities on Snap Chat in Africa.
