Most people sometimes confuse him for an artiste or an actor from his stylish look and his ‘swag’. Swanky Jerry is none of those things. He is one of Nigeria’s youngest and most influential celebrity stylists. Born Jeremiah Ogbodo on July 4, 1990, he acquired formal certification in styling at the School of Style in New York and is currently studying for a degree in Business Administration at the University of Lagos. He officially started off his career 3 years ago in 2012 with the launch of his own design and styling outfit named Swanky Signatures.
In that little time, he has worked with nearly every major celebrity in the entertainment industry and has built solid relationships over the past few years. Most people would affiliate him to the controversial Nollywood actress Tontoh Dikeh, for whom he doubles as friend and stylist. Davido, Tuface, Waje, Iyanya, Ini Edo, Rita Dominic,Ice prince and D’banj and the former president, Goodluck Jonathan are some of the celebrities he has worked on. In 2014, he was awarded the Stylist of the Year at the Lagos Fashion Awards.
