1974 born Jimnah Kimani grew up in Mombasa, Kenya. He is a graduate of Fine Arts from the Creative Art Centre in Nairobi which he joined after his secondary education.
After graduation, he began painting professionally and his works have been signalized by thick strokes and bright colours showing daily life and people scenes which demonstrates life as the inspiration for his art.
As a result of his exemplary works ‘The Most Promising Young Artist’ award for year 2000 was won by Jimnah Kimani and his works are privately collected and exhibited at the FIVE MYLES gallery in New York under “Kenya Art”. It is no surprise that Jimnah’s exemplary artworks have received such recognition as his works are so believable and creative. He is definitely one promising young African artist.
