While we certainly don't condone illegal movie streaming or downloading, there's value in keeping an eye on what's happening in the pirated movie space. Tracking illegal streams and downloads is one of the best ways to get an insight into what's trending in pop culture. Movie ticket prices continue to rise, and pirating has never been easier, so it's no surprise that films are copied, distributed, downloaded, and streamed at a tremendous rate.
There are two films new to this week's list: the aforementioned Godzilla and Oculus. The former stars a wooden Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen, and a constantly amazed Ken Watanabe. The latter is a movie about siblings recalling supernatural childhood horrors.
10. Tarzan
This Reinhard Klooss-directed animated flick sees the vine-swinger and Jane face off against mercenaries sent to recover a prehistoric meteor that crashed in the jungle that Tarzan will later inhabit. The mercs are hired by the CEO of Greystoke Energies, who just happens to be the same person who took over the company after Tarzan's parents died in a plane crash. Holy plot twist, Batman!
9. The Monuments Men
The Monuments Men chronicles the adventures of a World War II platoon charged with retrieving valuable art stolen by the Nazis. George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, Bill Murray, John Goodman, and Matt Damon star.
8. Oculus
Karen Gillian of Doctor Who fame (she played Amy Pond) stars as Kaylie Russell, a woman who tries to prove that her parents' deaths were caused by a supernatural phenomenon that enters this world through a mirror.
7. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
The much-awaited Avengers comic blockbuster lives up to expectations. Cutting-edge CGI meets earnest political statement in this action-packed Marvel release directed by Anthony and Joe Russo.
6. The Lego Movie
The colorful construction blocks that have inspired generations to create and build make the jump to the big screen with The Lego Movie. The film focuses on Emmett, an ordinary Lego mini-figure who's thrust into a world-saving situation. Will Arnett and Elizabeth Banks lead a cast of recognizable Hollywood voices.
5. Non-Stop
Liam Neeson once again stars as a middle-aged ass-kicker, but this time inside of an airplane. The Taken actor plays an air marshal who springs into action after receiving a series of text messages from a party demanding a $150 million ransom.
4. Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit
Jack (Ryan) is back. Chris Pine stars as a CIA operative who attempts to thwart a Russian plot to sink America's economy. Keira Knightley, Kevin Costner, and Kenneth Branagh co-star.
3. RoboCop
Paul Verhoeven's classic 1987 story of a terminally wounded police officer who's resurrected as a crime-fighting badass via cutting-edge science he receives as part of an overly aggressive makeover treatment. Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, and Joel Kinnaman star in this tale of drone strikes and the definition of humanity in a high-tech age.
2. Godzilla
Gareth Edwards' drama-filled take on the big guy will quickly make you forget the nightmare that was Roland Emmerich's 1998 disaster. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen, and Ken Watanabe star, as does a hefty dose of CGI-monster mashing.
